Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Riddim, including its music discovery, listening, creator, account, advertising, and related features.

Using Riddim

You agree to use Riddim lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with the service or other users. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

Accounts

Some features require an account. Keep your login information secure and provide accurate information.

Music and user content

You retain the rights you have in content you upload. By submitting content to Riddim, you give Riddim the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, display, stream, and make that content available through the features you choose to use.

You must not upload or publish content you do not have the legal right to use.

Creator features

Creator tools may allow artists and other creators to publish releases, profiles, and related information. You are responsible for the accuracy and rights associated with material you submit.

DJ mixes and recorded performances

If you upload a DJ mix, set, or recorded performance, you must have all permissions needed for the recording and every track, sample, remix, performance, and other element it contains. Owning a copy of a song or being able to stream it does not by itself give you permission to include it in a mix or publish that mix. Do not upload unauthorized full tracks, bootlegs, or mixes that infringe another person's rights. You are responsible for obtaining the necessary permissions. Riddim may remove content or restrict access when a rights concern is reported or identified.

Beat makers and beat licensing

Beat makers may showcase original beats and, when marketplace purchasing is officially enabled, offer licenses under terms they specify. You must own or control the rights needed to offer a beat and accurately describe permitted uses, restrictions, exclusivity, and included files. Do not list beats with uncleared samples or material you cannot lawfully license. A buyer receives only the rights expressly granted by the applicable license; a purchase does not automatically transfer copyright ownership.

Prices, license options, checkout availability, fees, refunds, and delivery terms will be shown before a transaction is offered. Beat discovery or listing features do not mean paid checkout or creator payouts are active. Riddim will identify applicable terms before enabling a paid transaction.

Content reports and enforcement

Riddim may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to mixes, beats, or other content when we reasonably believe it violates these terms, infringes rights, or creates a legal, safety, or platform-integrity risk. We may request evidence of ownership or permission and may suspend repeat or serious violators.

Podcast creator activation

Hosting plans renew by payment for each period. If a plan ends, the show and its published episodes stay available, but new shows and new episodes cannot be added until the plan is renewed. Shows activated under the earlier one-time $3 activation remain active without renewal.

Podcast creator account access is free. Each individual podcast show requires its own paid hosting plan, at $15 per month or $120 per year; the fee is per show, not per creator account or episode, and there is no separate per-episode charge for the podcast hosting service described on the platform. Show activation provides access to publish episodes for that show. Any additional paid services will be identified before payment.

Podcast migration

Creators may import an existing podcast catalogue from a compatible RSS feed and move eligible audio to Riddim. Creators remain responsible for their existing hosting account, directory relationships, rights, and any required redirect or feed-change configuration. Riddim does not control the old host and cannot guarantee a zero-downtime transition.

Creator payouts

Creator earnings and payout availability depend on the payment and payout routes supported for the creator's country. Current Riddim local payout routes include Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. Payout thresholds and fees may apply. International payout routes are only enabled after the underlying provider corridor has been confirmed and made available by Riddim.

Advertising

Advertising services may be subject to campaign requirements, payment terms, and approval by Riddim.

Payments and Riddim+

Where paid features or services are offered, prices, billing details, and applicable payment terms will be shown before payment. Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Paystack.

Availability

We work to keep Riddim available and reliable, but the service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party services, or circumstances outside our control.

Intellectual property

Riddim's software, branding, design, and other platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes.
